โFrom my early on, I knew I didnโt want to work in an office setting and be confined to my desk. My dad is a diesel tech, and my brother works in transportation. Their influences led to me obtaining my Class-A CDL and I became an โOver the Roadโ truck driver. As much as I enjoyed driving a truck, I realized the OTR lifestyle did not afford me the work/life balance I was looking for, especially while raising a young family. I was able to utilize my CDL in the construction industry, which offers great pay while still allowing me to be present for my family. I love the day-to-day variety, as each project is different. I also really enjoy a good challenge, and the construction industry offers plenty! I am able to apply critical thinking skills almost every day, keeping me engaged, and never bored!โ
