What It Takes to Earn the Platinum Level

STEP participants undergo detailed evaluations of their safety programs, training processes, documentation, and incident history. The Platinum level is awarded to companies that demonstrate industry leading safety results and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

To qualify, businesses must meet strict performance metrics, exceed national safety averages, and show a culture where safety is reinforced at every level of the organization.
