Understanding the WRMCA Concrete Design Awards

Each year, the Wisconsin Ready Mixed Concrete Association, in partnership with the ACI Wisconsin Chapter, recognizes projects that demonstrate excellence in concrete design and construction. Award criteria include durability, aesthetics, structural integrity, innovation, and overall contribution to the industry and community.

2025 Award Winning Projects

Concrete Overlay Category – Jewelers Mutual Park

This award recognizes our work at Jewelers Mutual Park in the Concrete Overlay Category. The project showcased how advanced overlay systems can restore, enhance, and extend the life of existing concrete surfaces while maintaining structural performance and visual appeal. Our team delivered a high quality finish built for long term durability and daily use.

Tilt-Up Category – Freedom Concrete Plant

Milis Flatwork was honored in the Tilt-Up Category for our work at the Freedom Concrete Plant. This project required precision coordination, structural accuracy, and efficient execution. Tilt-up construction demands exact planning and performance, and our team delivered a facility designed for strength, functionality, and long term operational efficiency.

Industrial Category – First Supply – Joe Poehling Distribution Innovation Center

In the Industrial Category, our work at the First Supply – Joe Poehling Distribution Innovation Center was recognized for exceptional quality and performance. Industrial facilities demand high strength concrete surfaces capable of handling heavy loads, equipment traffic, and continuous operational use. This project highlights our ability to deliver engineered flatwork solutions built to withstand demanding industrial environments.
